While he’s dominated the Athletics throughout his career, Carrasco has a 3-0 record against them. He gave up four hits, two runs and two homers while striking out seven batters when he last faced Oakland on May 29.

As for Gray, he performed well in his last game. He gave up three hits, two runs, and one homer while getting five strikeouts against the Chicago White Sox. However, he lost his last game against the Indians on May 30; he gave up nine hits, seven runs, and one homer in 4.2 innings.

Athletics’ Ryon Healy could probably do well out of their batting lineup when they face the Indians. The designated hitter has gotten four hits, one run, and one homer in six at bats while posting a .667/.667/1.167 stat line and a 1.833 OPS against Carrasco.

While Michael Brantley has had the most success out of the Indians’ lineup against Gray. Brantley has gotten six hits and one run in 14 at bats while posting a .429/.467/.571 line and a 1.038 OPS versus Oakland’s starting pitcher.
Cleveland’s batting lineup has done well against Gray while Oakland hasn’t found an answer for Carrasco yet. To make things worse for the Athletics, they’re struggling at getting runs with a total of 382 so far while the Indians have 421 for the season right now.
