Moore has started a game for the Giants against the Dodgers last April 27; he allowed two hits, one run and a homer while striking out eight batters in over seven frames. The 28-year-old pitcher gave up 138 hits, 72 runs and 17 homers but was able to strike out 94 batters in over 111.1 innings. His last win was six games ago against the Atlanta Braves, after that he has been losing ever since.

On the other hand, Wood is the second-best pitcher from the Dodgers who was on a winning streak of 11 games but recently lost against the Braves in which he gave up nine hits, nine runs and two homers. However, he was able to get four batters struck out in over 4.2 frames. Nevertheless, he only allowed 62 hits, 22 runs and four dingers while striking out 105 batters in over 91.1 innings this season.

Moving on to the batters’ side, Buster Posey is the best batter from the Giants this season, while holding a record for the best batting average (.328), OBP (.413), and most hits (104). Adding to his stat line, he has a .498 slugging percentage and a .911 OPS. Posey has had a lot of experience against Wood; he is currently posting a .417/ .462/ .583 line, 1.045 OPS against the Dodgers’ lefty.

Meanwhile, the Dodger’s rising rookie, Cody Bellinger (.266/ .348/ .611, .959 OPS), continues to excite the Dodgers’ fans as he showed another impressive performance against the Twins last July 25 with one hit, one run, and he was able to steal a base in over three at bats without getting struck out. He was able to face Moore this year, posting a .500/ .600/ 1.000 stat line, and a 1.600 OPS against him.
Moore is still trying to find a win since last month. Meanwhile, Wood has been doing great this season but his streak was recently broken. The Dodgers still lead as the best pitching team in the MLB, on the other hand San Francisco is way below at 24th. Plus, the Giants’ batters are having a hard time against Wood.
