Hwang Jae-gyun Returns to San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants recalled Hwang Jae-gyun from Triple-A Sacramento after he stayed there for six days. He replaced Chris Stratton, who was placed on the disabled list due to a right calf injury he suffered against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on July 28.

Hwang had 33 runs, seven homers, 45 RBI and 76 hits in 262 at-bats with a .290/.334/.473 stat line in Triple-A Sacramento.

His last game with the Giants was on August 1 when they won, 10-4, against the Oakland Athletics.

Hwang currently has two runs, a homer and five RBI with five walks in 52 at-bats in the MLB. He’s currently posting a 154/.228/.231 line and a .459 OPS.
